Children's Hospital of Wisconsin

Our Story

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation's top pediatric facilities. Founded in 1894, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is a private, independent, not-for-profit hospital that serves children with all types of illnesses, injuries, birth defects and other disorders.

With our teen driving safety outreach program, Crossroads, we hope to instill a sense of driver responsibility in teen drivers across the state. By becoming a trusted safety resource, we are inspiring parents and educators to get involved and become supportive mentors to new teen drivers.

Children's safety and injury prevention

We want our children to be healthy and safe. Children's is the lead agency for Safe Kids Wisconsin, which serves as the state office for twelve coalitions in Wisconsin, including Safe Kids Southeast Wisconsin. Through the coalitions, we work to prevent unintentional injuries through collaboration, education, policy and advocacy.
